Abstract

The analyzed the experiences in the municipal health care through a reform of Brazilian State with the implementation of Unified Health Systems. This research aims at verifying the contribution of the health care sector, which has been in frank evolution, to the social and economic development of the city of São José do Rio Preto through technological innovations. It was used the case study, bibliographic research, documentary analysis, and semi-structured interviews with agents of the science, technology and health care sector. *he research identified the most important health care contributions to strategies of development of local technology that allows subsidizing the choice of management of the care system.
